After the extremely successful and spectacular kick-off of the first Tanzania Social Media Tour, two months later, filmmakerz set off on a second trip to the same region in October 2016. This time with other social media personalities and under the flag of the new non-profit organization Life All Stars e.V. The event was also one of the most successful of the year in Germany and provided for a kick start of the innovative organization.
For the Photokina 2016 Expo, Sony gave the prelude to a world-wide photo campaign. A suitcase equipped with the dream equipment of every photographer will be taken on the journey of influencers and amateurs over a period of more than a year. The first official Life All Star Tour was a perfect start for that.
The group’s first destination was on the island of Pemba, the unknown daughter island of Zanzibar in the very northeast of Tanzania. Just the journey to come there was an adventurous experience for the group: first a flight with stopover in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, then to Dar Es Salaam and from there with two propeller-charter aircraft to Zanzibar and Pemba. At the end of a one and a half hour drive to the very north of the island and after 30 hours of traveling, they landed in this African island paradise. Here they spent four days in the hotel with the legendary Underwater Room, the floating hotel room and made trips to one of the poorest regions of Tanzania. They got to know a form of sustainable tourism, as the Manta Resort invests most of the revenue in social projects on the island.
The second destination of the trip is in the opposite part of the country, in more than just the geographical sense. It takes three more flights to get to Mbeya, the largest city in the far south of the country, about 1000 km away, near the border of Malawi. There is absolutely no tourism there and you will experience a piece of real Africa. The Canadian help organization “The Olive Branch for Children” has been active here since about 2004 and has a great positive influence on the many small communities in the savannah.
The Life All Stars is a unique global organization made up of well-known and successful social media personalities and brands, created by the innovative film production company and online community filmmakerz. With their concentrated power of reach and influence, they support small help projects and organizations in developing countries. They bring their respective community into action via various social media platforms on-site and do not hesitate to tackle their own hands where necessary.
Never before in the age of social media has there been such a tremendous fusion of online celebrities and brands that make a difference and change with their extensive media exposure and passion. The vehicle and motor of their work are the millions of fans and loyal followers who accompany and support them on their way to adventure.
